Description

Hesperocallis genus. This genus consists of a single species of lily. The thick upright flower spikes bear upward-facing fragrant white flowers with a green central stripe on each petal. Needs a sunny, well drained site. It is difficult to cultivate in all but warm, dry areas; in cool, damp climates, protect in a greenhouse. Requires ample water in spring, followed by a hot, dry period during its summer dormancy. Propagate by seed in autumn.
