Description

Humulus lupulus (Hop). This species will produces stems up to 6m. The male flowers are about 0.5cm in diameter and the female flowers (hops) are about 2cm in diameter. The inflorescence is widely used in brewing. The Hop is therefore cultivated and often naturalised, so that its natural distribution is now obscured. This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe.
