Description

Hyacinthus orientalis (Dutch hyacinth). This species produces very fragrant flowers in the spring in a large variety of colours, including white, yellow, pink, purple, red and blue. You should grow the medium-sized bulbs in soil with humus or well-rotted compost for the best flowering display. It is advisable to lift your bulbs after the foliage dies back and replant them in the autumn. This will ensure that optimum flower production will continue.
