There are some 28 gardens open in this popular village on the Colne estuary in north-east Essex.
Gardens large and small will be open, demonstrating the range of terrain from woodland to waterside, and the ingenuity of the gardeners. Several new gardens are opening this year.
Tickets are £5 each which includes a programme and map. Accompanied children free.
Refreshments and plants available at some Gardens and St Mary's Church. Cakes, chutneys, marmalade, and jams and big voucher raffle. 14 prizes total worth over £300 available from stall at 89 High Street £1 for a strip of 5 tickets. Among other prizes in the raffle, Beth Chatto of the famous garden and nursery a couple of miles from Wivenhoe, has kindly donated a £50 voucher for plants and a double membership entrance to the Gardens for one year (worth £38).
All profits will be shared between St Mary's Church and other Wivenhoe causes.
