I have just noticed this Orchid growing in one of my pots of Hemerocallis, can anyone ID it?

Could be Southern Marsh-orchid (Dactylorhiza praetermissa). What a lovely surprise! Did you buy the pot of Hemerocallis? I mean, did the orchid come along with the plant, or has it just sprouted up?

The Hemerocallis was purchased bareroot a few years back, this is the first time I have noticed the Orchid.

In that case it must be a "rogue" seedling: orchid seed is like dust, tiny and so fine that it can blow a surprising distance. I have a friend whose garden has been slowly colonised by Common Spotted Orchids (D. fuchsii) over the last 10-12 years, and two years ago a lone Marsh Orchid suddenly popped up, and we have no idea where it came from.

So I guess you can just enjoy your exotic "weed"!
