I came across these interesting photo's and I haven't any idea what the background planting is. At first I thought that it might be Kochia Scoria, but the leaves on this plant look rather more pendulous. Does anyone have any ideas?

How bizarre - it looks like unmown turf, growing vertically! Could it be one of the soft grasses: deschampsia perhaps?

It could well be Rachel, it's certainly fine enough to be lawn grass. I haven't seen anything quite like this before and I'm not sure that the maintenance would be easy, although the effect is quite striking ... sort of. I thank you for the suggestion and hope that one day I will be able to ask the owner of this creation and find out for sure.
