Creaton in Bloom has been running in beautiful rural Northamptonshire for over 20 years and is based around an "open gardens" afternoon, but combines other attractions such as BBQ, craft and market stalls, live music and a classic car display.
It's a fundraiser for local causes such as the village playing field, church upkeep, village hall and pre-school nursery.
There will be at least 10 gardens open for visiting, and as well as the BBQ, further refreshments include a beer and Pimms bar, cream teas in the Methodist church and other cakes en-route! Finally, there's also a flower festival in St Michael and All Angel's church, and a Steam Engine display on The Green!
The event coincides with our local Open Farm Sunday which features an impressive array of agricultural machinery but also the chance to talk first-hand to farmers about modern farming practices. This years theme is soils and wildlife.
