White fly on tomato plants

Could anyone give me tips on how to eradicate these pests, without using pesticides?

Debra, this is not a problem that I've experienced myself, but a little internet research suggests that the best non-chemical way to control them is to literally hoover them off the plants! Once you have removed the bulk of them (remembering to do the undersides of the leaves and all the little nooks and crannies) you could try spraying them with a weak solution of washing-up liquid, which - apparently - controls them.

I don't think it actually kills them, I think it prevents them from getting their sap-sucking little mouthparts back into your plants, but the internet is full of recipes and not very helpful on the "why" of these suggestions.

    Hope this helps!

Ladybirds are a natural predator, there are a lot about at the moment, gather them up and put them in the greenhouse
