A friend in the shade

I've grown this in the shadiest spot in my garden, beneath an over-arching rose, behind a fence and it's thrived, giving a huge burst of colour for months on end - a real stunner. Every year I cut out half, divide into clumps and give away to friends.

I agree our Yellow Loosestrife is a mass of yellow flowers in summer. Very good value! It grows for us in quite a sunny border against a wall.
