  • Strawberry pot

Hi All I'm using this strawberry pot to grow herbs but when watering from above the water to leeks out and does not get taken up in the little curved saucers, I wonder whether its poor quality. However is there a technique somebody may know of and can advise me please. Steve

HI Steve, I'm afraid it's poor design... there are a couple of things you can do to make watering easier, most of which will mean emptying out the pot and replanting it.

Briefly, you can insert a pipe, or some short lengths of seep hose, into the central well: or you can modify the pot by adding some saucer-extensions.

For more detail, I've written about it here, on my blog, do please feel free to read it and see if it helps!
