Using the Plant Finder for garden design

Just spent days on my planting scheme for sensory garden. Found Plant Finder really helpful and now hoping to link pictures to my plant list so as to avoid any confusion.

That's great to hear Caroline. One way to go about this if it is a separate project from your personal page is to create a new Grower page for the Sensory Garden. Here's how.

    1. Log out and sign up afresh. If you have a gmail account you can use your existing email address with '+sensorygarden' after your name and before the 'at' symbol and

    2. Add a new password and the post code of the garden to complete the sign up.

    3. You will then get a confirmation to your existing email. Click the link and get started listing the plants as 'In my garden'.

    4. You can then create and publish a Grower page for the garden with a general description of the project, featuring the In my garden plants and any photos you have of the work and the plants as they mature.

If you have any questions please call our helpline 01225 290235.

    Hope that helps.

We should have added. You will then essentially have two accounts on GreenPlantSwap: one that is personal and one for the project.

Other garden designers are welcome to use this method.

When the time comes if you have designed the garden for a client you can hand over the project account to them by changing the email to their address and giving them the password. They will then get a confirmation email to their account and can change the password.
