I thought this might be a type of salvia? It grows up to 2m tall with blue flowers and the leaf has a beautiful minty smell. Any help appreciated as I have been unable to identify. Thanks, Linda

You are right Linda. It is Salvia uliginosa or Bog Sage. The azure blue flowers have a white beeline in the throat and it is a good pollinator. The plant has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.

We had a rather weak photo of it on our plant record, which we have now removed. Would you mind if we used yours?

Thanks very much for the feedback; yes, delighted to help re photo. I love this plant - originally grown from seed I think and although it is not totally hardy I have managed to keep it going for a few years now.

I love this plant, but haven't managed to save a cutting from last year, why is it the most difficult plants to find are the ones you never manage to overwinter!
If you have any seed or cuttings to pass on I would be interested, I have several other salvia you might like too.
