Can I grow a Cordyline variegated in a pot?

    Yes Cordylines grow happily in pots, provided the pot is large enough for their roots. They are very popular as pot plants in Australia and New Zealand.

    I used to grow a Torbay Dazzler in a pot in the garden. I'd keep potting one on till it got to 5' or so tall, then sell it to a customer and start another one! The red and variegated plants aren't as hardy as the species I find, I used to put the Dazzler in a cold greenhouse over winter.
