I have wondered about growing Primula auriculas for a long time and rather think I should get on with it! They are amazing as your selection and a simple Google image search shows. I found this article by Sarah Raven useful:
    http://www.sarahraven.com/articles/growing_primulas_auriculas.htm
and was particularly taken by the idea of Auricula Theatres - does anyone have photos of one they can share?

Wootens of Wenhaston is the place to visit and buy them hundreds of named varieties including stripes, fancies, show and alpine and border types. Mine are the result of selection from a mixed tray of seedlings over 8 years to refine to the best 10 + plants and propagated from them. Many repeat flower and some are over 12 inches top to tail so have border type heritage, Many have also inherited a tooth to the leaf edges, bit like a hellebore leaf.
