The Meet and Swap Day in my garden in London E13 is postponed from Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st since it seems it will be raining all day Saturday. The weather for Sunday is set to be rather gloomy but not too cold and at least as I am writing this – no rain. Fingers crossed it will keep that way, but we will meet Sunday regardless of a shower or two, hopefully there will be none.
So far a few people have said they would like to come, and several other were busy this week-end so would like to attend if I arrange this again sometime later in the spring. If you have just started as a gardener and would like to come but are not sure you can contribute with anything - then just get in touch, this Meet and Swap Day is precisely for growers like you! Gardeners are very friendly people who absolutely LOVE to talk about plants and gardening and will answer questions about just about anything related to gardening. Most of us started out knowing very little and we learned the same way, by asking questions and by trial and error.
So decision made: The Meet and Swap Day will be in my garden in Plaistow on SUNDAY 21st February 2016 from 11 am. If you haven’t signed up yet please do, even if you haven’t got any plants to swap – you can just come and meet fellow gardeners, have a chat and perhaps do a bit of digging if you want to. The goal is to lift and give away all the shrubs I inherited when I moved into my new house and I hope they all will find a new home. Please see my post from 11th February for more information: https://www.greenplantswap.co.uk/talk_posts/366-meet-and-swap-day-in-east-london-saturday-20th-february
Bring some warm clothes and suitable footwear - and a sandwich, I will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
You can book a space until late Saturday evening, just send me a message.
Hope to see you!
