Simple you might think... but not so fast.
Daisies are in fact rather complex composite flowers, with distinctive 'spathulate', spoon-shaped leaves.
They also have the interesting habit of opening in the morning and closing up tightly at night - hence the Old English name 'day's eye'.
Then there's all the different genera and species that commonly get called 'Daisies'.
