Repot Christmas Tree

Would it be ok to repot a christmas tree in 'general purpose' compost or does it need a certain type of soil?

Yes that should be fine. But bear in mind Christmas trees are not really suited to growing in pots as their roots will be constrained. So the tree may only last a few years. They are really better suited to being planted in the garden.

Hi Jeremy, Thanks so much for that. Unfortunately we don't have a garden at the moment so all my plants are in pots and wanted to save the tree for as long as possible!
