An Open Afternoon in one of the Cotswolds' prettiest villages. Adlestrop is famous for the poem by Edward Thomas and its associations with Jane Austen whose mother's family came from the village. Visitors will find lunches and teas at the village halls with stalls outside selling plants, local produce and bric-a-brac. There is a bottle tombola and raffle. The racing stables opposite is open for viewing and there is a Fun Dog Show judged by the BBC's Sybil Ruscoe. Children's games on the village green, a thatched post office selling ice creams, gardens and a medieval church complete the picture.
