Why won't my Liriope muscari flower?

Had two plants for a few years, now nice and green and healthy but never flowered. Does it need to be in full sun? As I have it in semi-shade gets some sun in the afternoon though growing in well drained soil.

From my own experience I found Liriope muscari didn't thrive in a sunny, well drained spot. It struggled for 2 years. Last spring I moved it to a shady spot where it gets plenty of moisture (not water logged) last spring and it thrived. It finally produced flowers this autumn.

Thanks Angie i have got them in a sort of shady spot but i reckon that it gets too dry in the summer so i will move them both to a more suitable location when weather permits
