Garden on a wharf beside the River Thames in East Greenwich, returned to nature in the late 1960s.

3. Charlton Manor Community Garden (at Woodlands Farm) Sat 10:00–15:00, Sun 10:00–15:00
An amazing area for children and adults to discover all about gardening and growing fresh produce. Schoolchildren are involved in sowing, growing, harvesting and cooking edible produce. Refreshments, sale of plants and produce. Further details

4. Charlton Manor Primary School Sat 10:00–17:00, Sun 10:00–15:00
A secret haven with raised beds, vegetable plots, fruit trees and vines, heated greenhouse, wildlife area with pond, bird hide, chickens and beehives. Talks, tours, pond-dipping and refreshments including cake made from our own honey. Further details

5. Culverley Green Sat 14:00–17:00
Triangular garden at the junction of three roads that forms part of a planned early Edwardian estate within an Article 4 Conservation Area. Residents' garden fete on Saturday afternoon with stalls and homemade refreshments. Further details

6. De Frene Market Garden, Sydenham Garden Sat 11:00–14:30
A project supporting people suffering from mental distress and physical ill-health. A one-acre site managed in sympathy with wildlife and including raised beds, a polytunnel, orchard, an earth oven and solar fruit drier. Further details

7. Dulwich Upper Wood LNR Sun 10:00–16:00
Local nature reserve once part of the Great North Wood. An enjoyable amble through a secret woodland just below Crystal Palace. Guided tour, interpretation centre. Further details

8. The Old Blue Cross Pet Cemetery Sat 11:00–15:00, Sun 11:00–15:00
Remaining part of kennels for pets of service personnel and final resting place for much-loved pets of members of the community. Memorial wall with touching inscriptions. View archive pictures and maps of the area. Further details

9. Red House Sat 11:00–17:00, Sun 11:00–17:00
Simple garden and orchard surrounding the only house commissioned, created and lived in by William Morris, founder of the Arts and Crafts movement. Café and shop. Further details

10. Royal Garrison Church of St George, Woolwich Sat 11:00–17:00, Sun 11:00–17:00
Victorian church built for the Artillery Barracks in 1860s but largely destroyed by a V1 flying bomb in July 1944. The apse with an arched canopy, containing the VC Memorial and mosaics has survived. Atmospheric walled garden. Refreshments.Further details
