1. Alara Permaculture Forest Garden Sat 10:00–16:00, Sun 10:00–16:00
Garden by King's Cross transformed from unused land on an industrial estate into a demonstration permaculture forest garden. There are 160 fruit trees, including blue bean, pomegranate, medlar and apricot. Bees, ponds, peace and productivity. Further details

Victorian square, once an unkempt open space, now transformed by communal gardening into award-winning public square. Many activities, music, refreshments. Further details

This award-winning hidden paradise of 52 plots was established in 1982 and is managed and maintained by local people. Garden tours and homemade refreshments. Further details

Repurposed gasholder guide frame, enclosing a versatile central lawn encircled by a pathway, the outer edge of which is covered by a subtly perforated stainless steel canopy, with mirrored and satin finishes. Further details

Resident-led community garden project growing organic fruit and veg. Thirty-five micro allotments, a raised seated herb area, rose wall, communal foraging area and wildlife pond. Refreshments and guided tours by residents. Further details

A modern minimalist garden in the centre of the former Arsenal football stadium at Highbury, comprising hedges and grassy spaces, intersected by Perspex walls with integrated lighting and water features. Bookings required for limited places. Further details
