The garden covers about four hectares of sloping ground, and is set amongst mature hardwoods; the upper gardens are the more formal, with the walled garden, borders and formal and informal lawns, all with lovely views over the Conwy Valley and Snowdonia foothills, whilst the Dell with many shrubs, and ornamental and native trees, is a magical place. The April opening will showcase the magnificent magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas - and the Dell is carpeted with bluebells. The walled garden is quiet at this time of year, but the view down through the Conwy valley is spectacular at any time. A history of the garden leaflet will be available to all visitors on the day. There will be a Treasure Hunt for children, entrance £1 which includes a prize. Entrance is £4, £3 concessions, children under 14 free. Proceeds to NGS charities, donation to Wales Air Ambulance, and British Red Cross will be running the tearoom. Plants propagated at Maenan Hall will be on sale.
