To identify and list plants, all you need do is find the plant in the Plant Finder (use the photos and descriptions for identification). If you know the common or botanical name of the specific plant, search for that.
However, if you do not, but know the genus (i.e. the type of plant, such as Acer, Hebe or Rosa), a good tip is to enter the genus name only and click 'Search'. This will bring up images of all the plants in that genus to browse through.
Once you find the right plant, select 'Yes' under 'In my garden' at the top of the plant record.
That's it, your listing will be made.
These 'Listings' appear both under your account name, top right of every page, and on your Grower page, if you choose. But what if you still can't find the plant you have?
If you know the genus name, make a 'Full plant name not known' listing from the plant's genus page and just click 'Add a plant' under 'In my garden'.
With any listing you make, you can then add your own notes and/or photos in Listings for future reference.
